I love boxing, and really like the idea of a lineal championship: to be the champion, you must defeat the champion - as the saying goes "be the man who beat the man". As an example, you can see the list of lineal heavyweight boxing champs going back to 1892 here. The Raeburn Shield (Men’s) and Utrecht Shield (Women’s) are a similar prizes for Rugby Union.

So... I made Eternal Turnover - the lineal championship for Blood Bowl. Starting from the winner of the earliest NAF major at Warhammer World (The Blood Bowl 2003) there have been 166 lineal champions, including some big names in the game.

Methodology

We track face-to-face NAF sanctioned tournaments only (Classic, BB2020, BB2025 variants). The title changes hands through direct competition, with automatic reversion to the previous champion after periods of inactivity.
